We don't just export brands. We build them.
If you're a UK food or drink brand looking to grow internationally, TG International is your route into Africa, the Indian Ocean Islands, the Caribbean, South America and selected parts of Asia. We combine UK brand access, export and distribution expertise, and deep territory relationships to build sustainable, long-term growth rather than one-off shipments.
What We Look For in a New Brand
Honestly? We're looking for brands we can get excited about, and that we believe our customers and their consumers will get excited about too.
In practical terms, that means we assess:
- Consumer appeal: product quality and differentiation
- Brand strength: strong UK heritage, a compelling brand story or proven track record
- Market potential: real opportunity across retail, wholesale, hospitality, foodservice or e-commerce
- Commercial viability: competitive pricing with sustainable margins for all partners
- Supply reliability: consistent availability, reliable lead times and competitive ex-works pricing
- Export readiness: appropriate packaging, labelling and export documentation
- Partnership mindset: commitment to long-term international brand building, not short-term volume
The last point matters most. We invest significant time, relationships and resources into every brand we take to market. We're looking for suppliers who want to build something, not just move pallets.
Preparing to Talk to Us
The more prepared you are, the more productive our conversation will be. Ideally, come ready with:
- A clear brand overview and company story
- Your hero products and best sellers (not every SKU)
- Export pricing and commercial expectations (FOB or CIF)
- Case configuration, MOQ, shelf life and production capacity
- Current markets and key customer profiles
- Available marketing assets, brand guidelines and product photography
- Your international growth ambitions and the support you're prepared to offer
That last point matters. We want to understand what kind of brand-building partner you'll be: sampling, promotional support, digital content, POS materials, social media assets. The more you bring to the table, the faster we can move.
What Makes a Pitch Memorable?
The pitches that stick are clear, confident and commercially grounded.
Be ready to answer:
- What makes your brand different?
- Who is your consumer, and why will they love this product?
- Why do you believe there's an opportunity in our markets?
- What is the commercial proposition, and does it stack up?
Lead with your story. Back it with your numbers. Show us how we build it together.
Ask Us Questions Too
The best conversations go both ways. Brands we remember don't just ask "Can you distribute us?" They ask "What would it take to build a successful business together?"
Good questions to bring:
- Which of our markets offers the strongest opportunity for your category?
- Which channels would you target: retail, wholesale, hospitality, foodservice or e-commerce?
- What price positioning would you need to work for our customers?
- What volumes and MOQs would make the partnership commercially viable at the outset?
- How would TG International and the in-market customer work together to build the brand?
- What marketing and promotional support would you expect from us?
- What export, labelling or regulatory requirements should you plan for?
- If there's a fit, what do next steps and timelines look like?
Our Development Pathway
Once we've met, brands that move forward do so through a clear six-stage process:
1. Sampling → 2. Pricing Evaluation → 3. Market Assessment → 4. Customer Introduction → 5. Product Presentation → 6. Commercial Proposal
Brands move through this pathway quickly when they're responsive, accurate and collaborative. We're looking for long-term strategic partners, not one-off suppliers. Make it easy for us to say yes, and we'll be your biggest advocates in the market.
After We Meet
Follow up fast. Within 48 hours, send a short, specific summary of the conversation and agreed next steps, not a generic company brochure.
Where relevant, include:
- Updated price list and product catalogue
- Product specifications, case and pallet configurations
- Shelf-life information and certifications
- Product photography and brand guidelines
- Marketing assets and any export documentation
What really sets brands apart at this stage is showing you've listened, referencing the specific opportunities, channels or territories discussed, and addressing the questions we raised.
We are looking for brands we can build with, not simply products we can sell.
